Stealth PPF, Satin and Matte Paint Protection Film in College Station, TX

What Stealth PPF Actually Is

Stealth PPF is the same CovrGard paint protection film we install for impact protection, made with a satin or matte top layer instead of a gloss one. It goes on over your existing paint, so a gloss black car reads as satin black, and a gloss white car reads as matte white, with the factory finish sealed underneath exactly as it left the factory.

That is the part most people do not expect. A satin or matte look normally means either a respray or a vinyl wrap. Stealth film gives you the finish and the protection in the same layer, and it comes back off later without taking your paint with it. If the goal is a color you do not currently have rather than a finish change, that is color change PPF, which changes the color and protects the paint the same way this film does.

CovrGard film is self healing, is engineered not to yellow in the Texas sun, and carries a 10-year manufacturer warranty. Our entire PPF team is trained and certified by CovrGard. Film is available in gloss, satin, matte, colored, and carbon fiber, so stealth is one option inside a range rather than a separate product.

Stealth PPF starts at $6,000 for full vehicle coverage. Final pricing depends on the vehicle. If full coverage is more than you need, Critical Impact covers the panels that actually take the hits, starting at $1,600. Satin and matte film can also be installed on front end coverage only, which we quote against our full front and full vehicle packages. Every install is backed by our no-fault film insurance.

How Does Your Vehicle Benefit With Stealth PPF

A Finish Change That Is Reversible

Paint is permanent and a respray shows up on a history report. Stealth film comes off, and what is underneath is the original factory paint the car was built with.

Protection Comes With the Look

A satin or matte look from film is not just cosmetic. The same layer that changes the finish is taking the rock chips, the road spray and the parking lot contact for you.

It Does Not Fade Into Gloss

CovrGard satin and matte film holds its finish rather than polishing itself shiny in the spots you touch most, which is the usual failure of trying to fake a matte look any other way.

Self Healing Under the Satin

Light marks in the film pull themselves flat again with heat, so a satin panel stays evenly satin instead of collecting glossy scuffs around the door handles and the rear bumper.

How We Install Stealth PPF

Wash, Decontaminate and Inspect

The paint is washed, decontaminated and inspected before anything else happens. Nothing goes under film until we know what is on the panel.

Correction Happens First

Any correction the paint needs is done first. Film locks in whatever is underneath it, so this step is not optional on a stealth install any more than a gloss one.

Cut to Your Vehicle, Installed Panel by Panel

The film is cut to your specific vehicle and installed panel by panel, wet, with edges wrapped wherever the panel allows it.

It Stays Until Every Panel Is Right

Satin and matte film is less forgiving than gloss on the install, because there is no shine to hide a bad edge. That is why the vehicle stays with us until every panel is right.

Stealth PPF Questions and Answers

What is stealth PPF?2026-07-01T09:00:00+00:00

It is paint protection film with a satin or matte top layer. It installs over your existing paint, so the vehicle reads as satin or matte while the factory finish stays sealed underneath and fully protected.

How much does stealth PPF cost in College Station?2026-06-30T09:00:00+00:00

Stealth PPF starts at $6,000 for full vehicle coverage. Final pricing depends on the vehicle, because a full size truck takes far more film and labor than a coupe. We quote your exact vehicle before anything is scheduled.

Is stealth PPF the same as a matte vinyl wrap?2026-06-29T09:00:00+00:00

No. Film protects, vinyl mostly changes appearance. Stealth film is self healing impact protection that happens to be satin or matte. If you want a color the car does not currently have, a vinyl wrap is usually the better tool.

Will stealth film damage my paint when it comes off?2026-06-28T09:00:00+00:00

No. That is the point of using film for a finish change. The factory paint sits sealed underneath and comes back out the way it went in, which is not something a respray can offer you.

Can I do satin or matte on just the front of the car?2026-06-27T09:00:00+00:00

Yes, but think about how it will look. Satin film on the front end against gloss paint on the doors and quarters is a visible line. Most stealth clients go full vehicle for that reason.

Does satin film go glossy over time?2026-06-26T09:00:00+00:00

It should not. CovrGard satin and matte film is built to hold its finish, and it self heals light marks with heat rather than polishing shiny in the spots you touch most.

How long does a stealth install take?2026-06-25T09:00:00+00:00

Plan on about seven days in the shop. Every panel is corrected and prepped first, the film is installed panel by panel, and the vehicle rests with us afterward so the adhesive sets properly.

What happens if the film gets damaged?2026-06-24T09:00:00+00:00

Every install comes with our no-fault film insurance. If something outside your control damages the film, we cover up to $300 per panel toward removing the damaged film and installing new film, for as long as that film is on the vehicle. There is nothing extra to buy.
