Most people who call us about window tint want one number. The honest answer is that it depends on how many windows you are doing and which of the two films you pick, so here is the whole price list instead of making you ask for it.
What car window tint costs in College Station
| Coverage | Price |
|---|---|
| Front two windows, standard ceramic | $135 |
| Sides and rear, standard ceramic | $300 |
| Sides and rear, nano-ceramic | $400 |
| Full vehicle including the windshield, standard ceramic | $400 |
| Full vehicle, nano-ceramic | $500 |
Those are the prices, not starting points. The only common extra is stripping old film off the glass before the new film goes on, and we quote that after looking at it, because how much work it takes depends entirely on how badly the old film has broken down.
The two films, and what actually separates them
We install two grades and nothing else, which keeps the choice simple, and the long comparison lives in ceramic vs. standard window tint.
Standard ceramic blocks roughly 85 percent of the infrared heat coming through the glass. For most drivers in most cars, this is the film that does the job.
Nano-ceramic is the step up. It blocks up to 98 percent of infrared heat and up to 99 percent of UV, and we put the two grades side by side on heat in which window tint blocks the most heat. If you park outside all day, or you have a lot of glass, or you have ever gotten into your car in August and thought about it for the rest of the drive, this is the one worth the difference.
Neither one is dyed film. Neither one will turn purple on you, and both are backed for life.
Why the price jumps between coverage levels
Every window on a car is a separate piece of work. Front two doors is a quick job on flat-ish glass. Sides and rear means the whole car behind the front doors, including the back glass, which is curved, heat-shrunk to shape, and the single hardest panel on the vehicle to do well. Full vehicle adds the windshield on top of that.
So the jump from $135 to $300 is not a markup. It is four or five more windows and the one that takes the most skill.
What is included at every price
Film, labor, and the backing on the film for as long as you own the vehicle. Texas sets a limit on how dark the front side windows are allowed to be, and we will tell you exactly where that line is before we cut anything, so you are not the one explaining it at a traffic stop.
How long it takes
Same day. Most vehicles are in and out in one visit, and you drive home with it done. Give the film a few days before rolling the windows down so it can finish setting.
Questions we get asked
Is the cheaper film actually worth it, or should I just go nano?
Standard ceramic at 85 percent infrared is a real film doing real work, and plenty of customers are happy with it for years. Nano-ceramic is the right call when the car lives outside, when the glass area is large, or when heat is the specific thing you are trying to solve. If you are deciding between them on a full vehicle, the gap is $100.
Does tint really help in a College Station summer?
Yes, and heat is the part people underestimate. Blocking infrared is what keeps the cabin from turning into an oven while you are parked, and it is what makes the air conditioning catch up in a couple of minutes instead of most of the drive.
Will it fade or turn purple?
No. Purple film is dyed film breaking down in the sun. Neither grade we install is dyed, and both are backed for life against exactly that.
Can I do just the windshield?
The windshield is included in the full vehicle price. On its own it is a separate quote, so call and ask rather than guessing from this list, and note that windshield protection film is a different product with its own pricing.
What if my car already has tint on it?
It comes off first. Old film that is bubbling or purple has usually started to separate from the glass, and removal is quoted once we have seen it.
