Q: How much does a full car detail cost in College Station?

Both our full exterior detail and our full interior detail start at $180. Where a particular vehicle lands above that comes down to size, condition, and how much time the interior actually needs. Heavy pet hair, sand and spills all add hours to the job. We price after we look at the vehicle rather than quoting blind, so the figure you are given is the figure you pay. If the paint needs correction rather than cleaning, that is quoted separately, because polishing out swirls and scratches is different work from a detail.

Q: How much does window tint cost in College Station?

Front two windows start at $135 in standard ceramic and $225 in nano-ceramic. Sides and rear start at $300 standard and $400 nano-ceramic. A full vehicle with the windshield included starts at $400 standard and $500 nano-ceramic. Every price is a starting point because glass area differs by vehicle, so we confirm the exact number for your car before anything is scheduled. Same-day install, lifetime warranty, here in College Station.

Q: What areas do you cover for home and building tint?

We are based in College Station, and unlike our vehicle work this is done on site, so we come to you. College Station and Bryan are home and get on the schedule fastest. Past that we regularly travel across the Brazos Valley: Navasota about thirty minutes out, Brenham about forty, Huntsville about forty five, and Conroe about an hour. We also cover Bellville, Caldwell, Giddings, Hempstead and Madisonville . Further out than that, call and ask rather than assuming the answer is no. On a job with enough openings the drive is usually worth it for both of us, and if it is not we will tell you straight. Full detail on each town is on our service areas page .

Q: Can I do a color change if my paint is not in great shape?

No, and we will tell you that up front. Film locks in whatever is underneath it, so a color change over bad paint seals the problem in rather than hiding it. Color change work suits new vehicles going a different color from day one, or cars a few years in where the owner wants a different color and the finish under it is still healthy. If the paint itself is the problem, that is a body shop job.

Q: How long does a color change install take?

Full vehicle coverage is about a seven day install. We wash, decontaminate and inspect the paint first and correct anything that needs correcting, because film locks in whatever is underneath it.

Q: Does a color change hurt resale?

Repainting can, because a respray shows up on a paint depth reading and can land on a vehicle history report. Film does not touch the paint at all, so the car underneath is still original.

Q: Should I just get a vinyl wrap instead?

For a full color change we recommend film, because you get the color and real paint protection in the same layer. It costs more than vinyl and takes longer, and that is because color film is a significantly harder install than a wrap. For chrome delete , graphics, lettering and trim pieces, vinyl is the right tool and we do that work too.

Q: Can the film be removed later?

Yes. CovrGard film comes off clean when you are done with it. The paint underneath is the original factory finish.

Q: Is my factory paint safe underneath it?

Yes, and that is the point. The film seals the factory finish underneath and comes off later without taking the paint with it, so the car still has its original paint when the film is gone.
