Professional Auto Detailing Based in College Station, Texas

What Auto Detailing Actually Does

Auto detailing is a thorough cleaning and restoration of your vehicle inside and out, done by trained hands rather than a quick run through a wash tunnel. We clean and refresh every surface, from the paint and wheels outside to the carpets, seats, and every vent and crevice inside. Because no two vehicles arrive in the same condition, our detailing is priced at inspection, so you only pay for what your vehicle actually needs.

What you notice day to day: the paint looks brighter and feels smooth again, the interior looks and feels close to new, and the small things that bug you, like dusty vents and grimy cupholders, are handled. Drivers come to us from College Station, Bryan, and the rest of the Brazos Valley to get that just-detailed feeling back.

What detailing does not do is permanently protect your vehicle, since it restores what is already there rather than shielding it going forward. If you want that clean to last, a ceramic coating or a monthly detail plan is the next step, and paint correction removes the deeper swirls and scratches a detail alone cannot.

Add-On Detailing Services at Envy This Detailing

Engine Bay Detailing

PRICED AT INSPECTION

We clean and dress the engine bay by hand, protecting delicate components while lifting the grime that builds up under the hood. A clean bay makes small leaks easier to spot and keeps plastics and connectors from breaking down early. Priced at inspection when you drop off.

Headlight Restoration Service

PRICED AT INSPECTION

Cloudy, yellowed headlights get sanded level, then buffed and polished back to clarity, the same process our paint correction crew uses on paint. We finish with a sealant so the clarity lasts. Once a lens is restored, we can also cover it in paint protection film where the condition of the housing allows, which keeps UV off the plastic so it does not haze over again. Priced at inspection.

How the Work Actually Happens

The packages above tell you what you get. This is how you get it.

Indoors, one vehicle at a time

Every detail happens inside our College Station shop. Your vehicle is out of the sun, dust and weather from the moment it rolls in until you pick it up, and we work one vehicle at a time instead of cycling cars through a line. We are not a mobile operation, and that is on purpose. A driveway cannot give you controlled lighting to see what you are correcting, a place for a panel to sit while product does its work, or the water we wash with.

Filtered water, so nothing dries on your paint

This is the part nobody sees and almost nobody else pays for. Ordinary tap water carries dissolved minerals, and when it dries on a panel those minerals stay behind. That is all a water spot is. Leave them sitting in the Texas sun and they stop being a spot you can wipe off and start being something etched into the clear coat.

We run a reverse osmosis and deionization system on the water in our shop. It is an expensive setup to install and it costs us every month to keep filters fresh, and the entire point of it is that the water hitting your vehicle has nothing dissolved in it. Nothing in the water means nothing left on the paint when it dries. Zero risk of water spots, on glass, on trim, in the panel gaps where towels never reach.

It matters most on a car that has just been corrected or coated, when the last thing you want is hard water drying on a finish you paid to make perfect.

We price it after we look at it

Every number on this page is a starting price. The final one comes at inspection, because two vehicles of the same year and model can be an hour apart in work depending on what is actually in the carpet and on the paint. Quoting sight unseen means either padding the price for everyone or short-changing the car that needs more. Vehicles with heavy soiling or pet hair cost more, and you hear that from us before anything starts, not after.

We can come get it

Too busy to come to us? We offer pickup and delivery across College Station and Bryan, so your day does not stop while your vehicle is with us. And if you want it kept this way year round instead of once in a while, our Monthly Detail Plans make it automatic.

When the paint needs more than a detail

A detail restores what is already there. It does not erase swirl marks, and it does not protect the finish going forward. If your paint is past what a wash and decontamination can fix, our paint correction crew takes it from there, and a ceramic coating or paint protection film keeps it that way afterward. Same shop, same crew, so you are not starting over somewhere new when the answer turns out to be more than a detail. If you are weighing how to protect the paint, our ceramic coating vs wax comparison lays out what each one actually does.

Vehicles that get their own approach

Some vehicles need a different process, so they have their own page: Tesla, Chevrolet Corvette, show cars, motorcycles, and recreational vehicles.

We work both sides of Bryan and College Station, every starting price we charge is published on our pricing page, and if you want to know who is working on your car you can read more about the shop.

Auto Detailing Questions and Answers

My vehicle is new. Does it need to be detailed?2026-08-13T00:39:48+00:00

A new vehicle is the best possible starting point, and that is exactly why it is worth doing. Protecting a finish that has never been washed wrong is far easier and far cheaper than correcting one that has.

New does not mean flawless. Every car is built, wrapped, shipped, unwrapped and prepped by a dealer before you ever see it. Rail dust, transport film adhesive, factory sanding marks and dealer prep swirls are all normal on a vehicle with fifteen miles on it. We inspect first, correct what needs correcting, then protect — in that order, so nothing gets sealed in.

The real win is what happens after. Owners who start a monthly detail plan from day one never have to chase the new car feeling back, because they never lose it. The cabin stays the way it smelled and felt the day you picked it up, and the paint never falls far enough behind to need correction in the first place. Starting from fresh ownership is the cheapest time to do this, and it stays that way.

Is it true that public car washes could damage my exterior?2026-08-13T00:39:49+00:00

Yes, and it is the most common way we see paint get damaged in College Station.

Soft touch tunnels are the worst offender. Those brushes touch every vehicle that goes through, and nothing gets cleaned between cars. If the truck ahead of you came off a job site caked in mud, that grit is now in the brush — and the brush is what drags across your paint next. Nobody at the entrance turns a filthy vehicle away. That is how a finish picks up swirl marks and fine scratches in a matter of minutes.

Touchless washes trade that problem for a different one. Because nothing physically touches the vehicle, the chemistry has to do all the work, so those systems run high acid cleaners to lift dirt on their own. Used over and over, that strips wax and sealant and dulls trim and clear coat.

We hand wash with two buckets and clean media, on your vehicle only. If the paint is already swirled from tunnel washes, paint correction removes it, and a ceramic coating makes future washes far safer on the finish.

Can you keep my interior cloth and leather surfaces safe from future contamination?2026-07-25T18:47:42+00:00

This is easily accomplished by our highly experienced interior vehicle detailing team! After we complete much of our interior detailing process here at Envy This Detailing, we apply protective sealants and formulas to all interior surfaces designed to resist contamination, exposure to UV rays, and general wear and tear.

How do you decontaminate my paintwork?2024-10-06T03:49:37+00:00

Our exterior vehicle detailing professionals start with a safe two bucket hand wash designed to eliminate the potential for any harmful cross-contamination with dirty water. Following that, we utilize a clay bar, which lifts microscopic dust and dirt particles that can eventually cause micro-scratches and other defects if left untreated.
