What Separates Nano-Ceramic From Standard Ceramic
We install ceramic window film in two grades, and they are the same kind of film in every way people usually worry about. Neither one contains any metal, so neither interferes with your phone, your GPS, your toll tag or your tire sensors. Neither one turns purple. Both block 99% of ultraviolet light, both are backed for life, and most vehicles go out the same day either way.
The difference is infrared, which is the part of sunlight you actually feel as heat coming through a window. Our standard ceramic rejects about 85% of it. Our nano-ceramic rejects up to 98%. On a College Station afternoon that is the difference between air conditioning that cools the cabin and air conditioning that spends the whole drive fighting the sun coming through the glass.
Pricing follows the same split. Standard ceramic starts at $135 for the front two windows. Sides and rear glass is $300 in standard ceramic or $400 in nano-ceramic. Full vehicle, windshield included, is $400 in standard ceramic or $500 in nano-ceramic. Which one you want comes down to where the vehicle sits. If it parks outside all day at work or on campus, if there is no garage at home, or if it has a large glass roof or a deep windshield, nano-ceramic earns the difference in the first summer. A Tesla is the clearest example of that, which is why it has its own page. If the car lives in a garage and the commute is short, standard ceramic already does most of the work. Either way the windshield is the single biggest piece of glass on the vehicle, and it is included in our full vehicle packages.

Heat Stopped at the Glass
Infrared is what you feel coming through a window. Standard ceramic turns away about 85% of it and nano-ceramic up to 98%, so the air conditioning is cooling the cabin instead of fighting the sun.
99% of the UV, Either Way
Both grades block 99% of ultraviolet light. That is what fades a dash, dries out leather and reaches your left arm on every drive, and that protection does not change with the grade you pick.
No Metal, No Interference
Neither film has any metal in it. Your phone signal, GPS, toll tag and tire pressure sensors all work exactly the way they did before the film went on.
It Will Not Turn Purple
Purple glass is dyed film coming apart. Ceramic film does not do that, and we back our tint for life, so what you drive off with is what you keep.
How We Install Ceramic Window Tint
Every piece of glass is cleaned and decontaminated before any film is cut, because anything left behind on the glass sits under the film permanently. The film is then cut to your exact vehicle by machine rather than trimmed on the glass with a blade, which is what keeps the edges clean and your defroster lines untouched.
Most vehicles are finished the same day. Film needs a few days to fully cure afterward, so leave the windows up during that window. Any light haze or small pockets of moisture you see at first clear on their own as it dries.

If the vehicle parks outside, yes. A car that sits uncovered at work or on campus all day is soaking up infrared for eight hours before you get back in it. If it lives in a garage and the drive is short, standard ceramic already does most of the work.
No. Shade and heat rejection are two separate choices. You pick the shade percentage you want on the glass, and the grade of film decides how much infrared heat it stops. A light nano-ceramic can outperform a much darker cheap film.
No. Neither grade contains any metal. Metallic films are the ones that cause signal problems. Phone reception, GPS, toll tags and tire pressure sensors all behave exactly as they did before the film went on.
